Spend the weekend learning the ancient art of building a wooden bow!
Step by step you will learn the process of reducing a seasoned seasoned stave to a finished, hunting weight long bow. This 3 day workshop is taught by expert instructors and will cover everything from material selection and harvesting, reading the wood to lay out proper bow design, and reducing and tillering a perfect wooden bow.
This class is an amazing experience whether you are a hunter looking to hunt with your own handmade tackle or an enthusiast looking dive deeper into archery’s rich traditions.
All participants will leave at the end of the class with a fully functioning wooden bow!
Students should bring lunch and drink. Dress comfortably. We suggest students should bring their own draw knives, cabinet scraper and Nicholson # 49 rasp. We will have several extra on hand but please bring your own if you can.
